Monday Morning Staff Meeting on Thursday

Last weekend when our son was so sick, we tried to determine whether it was food poisoning or the flu. I got the answer on Tuesday night when I got violently ill - the flu.

I'm managed to drag myself through that although I'm still feeling queasy about eating anything. Perhaps today I'll try some Cream of Wheat.

So, that's what I'm serving this morning, Cream of Wheat. Feel free to bring in whatever else you'd like, just no spicy breakfast burritos because the smell would trigger bad things.

Here's the spam comment of the week. The comment spammers have been very busy. Each morning I wake up to a pile-o-spam.

"Good post and this mail helped me alot in my college assignment, gratefulness you seeking your information."

HUH??

Finally I'm able to do the drawing for the pink wallet.

Pink mini-wallet. Holds credit cards or use it as a business card holder.

Thanks to everyone who entered.

The winner is......

Please contact me via e-mail and I'll get the wallet in the mail to you.

While blog surfing this week I found a nice blog to share with you. It's called Sweet Pea and she's an antique dealer and junk lover.

Unfortunately, that's all for me this morning. I'm fading fast and I'm going back to bed. Feel free to carry on the meeting without me. Have you found anything interesting this week?

Get better quick! Sleep, sleep, sleep. Its better than anything when you are sick.

I found a really neat knitting blog this week. http://jlyarnworks.blogspot.com/ I like knitting blogs. They give me inspiration and some great projects. 'Cause you know I need one more WIP in my basket and another pattern in my overflowing folder.

And to go along with that blog...I was looking at her store and found these Sock Monkey magnets and thought of you. http://www.jlyarnworks.com/category_24/Just-For-Fun.htm

So sorry you got the bug! we had it here a few weeks ago, it was a fast moving one for me, only one day, but others had it for 2 days. Hopefully we are done with that,
It was so good to see you back this morning, even if for a short time. Take care and rest!

God love ya, Suzanne, for even lifting your head from the pillow. We've all been sick here as well. Nasty stuff. Nan has been so weak and even fell down. Fortunately, nothing broke. She's doing better today. I'm off for the local Wal*Mart in hopes of gathering some basics. This thing nailed John the hardest. Funny thing about it was that we were trying to figure out if it was food poisoning, too, but I'm more inclined to think the dreaded flu. Lie low!

Hi Suzanne,

I found your blog via Jayme's (The Coop Keeper). I hope you are feeling better soon. Enjoyed looking through some of your past posts and will return. I too live miles from town in an 1880s Victorian farmhouse.

I think I'll stick with my own breakfast - I don't do Cream of Wheat.

Yay! It worked today! For some reason I was unable to post a comment last week.

Hope you have a peaceful day to rest and heal. I'll pass on the Cream 'O Wheat though. My parents loved it, but I never did develop a liking. Malt-o-Meal, though is ok.

Suzanne, glad you are feeling better. Cream of Wheat is a great way to ease back into eating again.

Take care and rest until you are completely better.

Hello my new BFF,
I am so very sorry to hear that you have been hit at your house with that awful stomach flu. I think I would rather go through 48 hours of labor than have what you have. At least when you are through with labor you have something to show for it. I don't even lose weight like some people do when they have the stomach flu! I bet I gain weight...... Take it easy, be kind to that ole tummy of yours and I will look forward to next weeks Monday Meeting if you are feeling better. Feel better........
