Rat Nest

Thanks to everyone who left comments and sent e-mails inquiring as to my well being. I'm doing OK but I've spent the last week unraveling a rat's nest of problems involving insurance, COBRA and other surprising and bizarre developments.

I'll be back on Monday morning to give you a run down.

It became apparent to me that if I was to post in the middle of all this, I'd sound like a raving lunatic. I have been a raving lunatic!!! I just don't want to sound like one. HA!

Do something fun this weekend. I'll see you on Monday.

Been there, done that 6 years ago when my husband retired.

They don't give t-shirts for that! But, I definitely think that they should.

" I SURVIVED THE INSURANCE WARS!"

You will survive, but, I can't vouch for your sanity in the meantime. (chuckle) Please take sanity breaks, go watch the leaves turn or the birds or something that restores calm and removes pain from brain.

Take care.

Insurance problems drive everyone wacky. Just wait until you retire and deal with Medicare and prescription coverage. Lots of seniors get totally confused and irritated trying to get things to make sense. Insurance wordage is so hard to understand for all of us.

It is their way of trying to not pay, they figure they will wear you down until you give up...your cash.

Sorry to hear of you stressful week, I pray that this week turns out much better for you.

I'd love for you to put my name in the hat for The Gurnsey Literary and Potato Peel Society. My name has been on the waitlist at our local library for over 3 months. for that very book.

I understand your frustration with the "service reps". I have been dealing with insurance problems and pension problems for my 91 year old mother and sometimes want to reach through the phone and strangle the person I am talking to! Although at least it is a "live body" and not one of those electronic voices that don't give me an answer to my question and don't have a number to chose that makes sense to me. I feel so sorry for an older person who has to negoiate these systems on their own. I know that my 92 year old father-in-law get so frustrated that he just hangs up and then is in a worst mess later and my husband (and I) get to clean it up!

Enough of my bitching. I would love to be considered for the book "If I live to be 100".
