Grab a Chair

....and pour yourself a cup of coffee. I hate to continually bore you with weather updates, but I'm going outside to plow again.

Grab yourself a book out of our library. Here's the fiction, non-fiction, anthropology, psychology, science, self-help and Presidential biography section.

If you're in the mood for a western, the farmer's collection of Louis L'Amour is on the top left shelf. I'm hoping you'll feel like baking something terrific while I'm outside. The cookbooks are on the three middle shelves on the left.

Unfortunately the old wing chair was looking very ratty so I got rid of it and haven't yet replaced it. Perhaps a window seat between the bookcases?

Anyway, I'm off. I'll be back soon.

Tomorrow we'll look at some decorating books, both mine and my interior decorator daughter's.

Hi, followed you from Vee's. I was reading back through your posts and came across your Belize trip. My husband & I went to Ambergris Caye a few years ago and stayed at Ramon's Village. Altho we have traveled up and down the Mexican coastline, A.C. was our favorite vacation ever. My husband is a diver & he loved the diving on the reef. I enjoyed the laid back, lazy lifestyle and everyone was so nice to us. I don't think I put on shoes all week! It was a second honeymoon for us! Vickie

Ambergris Caye is awesome. We kind of laughed when a Type A guy from L.A. arrived and was freaking out because he couldn't get cell phone reception and check in at work back home. He was literally freaking out. Two days later we saw him again and what a transformation. I think he threw his cell phone in the ocean!!

Ohhh, you're not baking? LOL! Well shoot!

Yup, more plowing going on here, too. I'm just thrilled that I don't have to crank up the snowblower.

I LOVE your bookshelves. What a cozy corner to curl up in.

Plow all day, come inside, pour a cup of coffee and spend time in here - best of both worlds! Lovely.

Nothing better than a good book...no matter what the weather!

Oh, I love your library. What a cozy corner. Yes, a warm cup of something and a good book after a hard day's work is just the thing.

Thanks everyone, for sitting in the library for awhile. The plowing went pretty smoothly. The weather reports said that we got 3.5 inches of snow here in St. Charles last night. HA HA HA. That's the deepest 3.5 inches I've ever seen.

These are just a portion of our books. There are more bookcases elsewhere including the bedroom. I feel safe with books.
