Mark was just practicing his role as humorist ......... Be sure to vote!

The photo is of actor Richard Garey, who owns and operates the Planters Barn Theater in Hannibal, Missouri. He provided a very enjoyable evening with his production of "Mark Twain, Himself".

Love the levity! Thanks for correcting Mr. Twain.

It's me said...

If he was just kidding, care to fully explain the Electoral college and why the race may be called even before the "Left coast" finishes voting?

We don't pick the president, no matter how much we try to fool ourselves. :(

I agree, voting is important !!!

You don't really realise how important voting is, until you temporarily loose the right to vote. (It's okay, I'm not a felon !!)

I can't vote in the US, because I'm a permanent resident and not a citizen. What happened to 'No taxation without representation '? However, that's another story.

I can't vote in NZ either, because I haven't been home in the last two or so years. I will however get to vote again, once I go home.

Interestingly, NZ and any other countries, do let their permanent residents vote, as they consider them to be part of the country and paying taxes, even if they are not citizens.

I envy your chance to see Mark Twain again ... one of my all-time favorite American authors. I wonder how he would have voted in this election?
