Disorientation

It's been awhile since I've subjected you to one of my videos.

This is a walk around an old property across the road from where my son works. It's very disorienting to drive around certain areas that I haven't visited in awhile because it's like stepping in a time machine on fast forward.

I'm off to visit with my mom. We're going to have a pajama party. I'll be back on Saturday.

What cracks me up is that I apologize for the fact that it's windy. Hello!!! It's Illinois..... duh.

Behave yourselves tomorrow while I'm gone.

OH how I hate subdivsions....people need to realize that you cant grow food on a hillside - there is only so much land for farming and its disapearing quickly.... great video, do some more!

You just sound so sweet....

And just like I do when I video tape things.

Aren't these some of the most necessary evils ever? What a tremendous old barn! I hope that they don't remove it. We were just talking about the disorientation factor last week. Three months of not going to the "big" city and we're already confused. It's crazy!

Wow! It really was windy out there on the plain.

Have fun with your mom!

Oh, that barn looks so lonely.

I agree with the disorentation. I'm lucky in that the town I grew up in is located so far from anywhere in Iowa that it will most likely always look pretty much as it did when I grew up. Except for the barns and farmhouses that are now in a state of disrepair.

It's Spring break, I finally found the time to start visiting again and you're off having a PJ party !! It sounds like fun though, enjoy :-)

Love the barn!! I really like old buildings...they have character!!

I went out to Sparks recently and found that they had pulled down a whole lot of buildings to erect this big bus terminal. I know what you mean by disorientating. All the familar landmarks had gone..

I love hearing the sound of your voice. You have a wonderful accent and when I read your post I hear it. LPxo

Suzanne, this will sound funny but when I listened to your video, I was surprised to hear your voice with a midwest accent. Well, it's obvious being from Illinois, you would have one, but I just don't hear it that often here in San Diego. I guess because I read your writing here, I don't hear it in my mind with a midwest accent. :) Food for thought.
