Happy Feet in Red

My friend over at Life in Red Shoes is the one who put me on to the happiness that results from wearing red shoes. I'm always looking for red shoes and recently found a pair on sale. Hooray!

On Saturday night the Farmer and I were getting ready to go out to a birthday party. He walked into the room and the following conversation ensued.

"Oh, shoes. You've got new shoes."

"Yes", I replied.

"You're going to wear those?" he asked.

"Yes, I'm going to wear them."

This conversation had me puzzled. Was it the color? The plaid? What was it about them that clearly bothered him. We were running late and I certainly wasn't going to get into THAT conversation, but when I arrived at the party I questioned the other women.

"What do you think about these shoes?"

"Oh, they're so cute, I have a jacket that matches them. Where did you find them?"

OK, I felt better. The women-folk validated my choice.

And anyway, I love them. In fact, I'm going to wear them again tonight!

How about you? Got any happy red shoes?

NOTE: The cute plaid shoes are from Payless Shoe Source. I checked my receipt and they were on sale for $7.00. Pretty cheap for such red cuteness.

I am in love with yours! Where did you get them? I love red shoes, too. I have one pair but I smile when I wear them!

I really like your red shoes. Thinking about it, I don't think I have ever owned red shoes. Perhaps, at my age, that would be accepted by everybody, no matter what the season ;)

No red shoes, alas, BUT my sis bought me a vintage-y red purse with felted flowers for Christmas!

Love your snazzy red shoes!

I don't currently have any red shoes, but I think I should look for some after seeing how cute yours are!!!
My dad thought every little girl should have red shoes and he bought my eldest daughter some--I never had any, but I did have red cowboy boots with spurs and pink Mary Jane shoes I loved.

I love red shoes! I have a kitten heeled, open toe pair and a polka dot peeep toe pair. My best pair though which sadly broke were high heeled mary janes in red patent leather. Not bright red, a more deep red. Beautiful!

I love yours, they're so cute!

I love red shoes! Those plaid ones you have are SO cute!!!
I've had several pairs of red shoes. They're always so fun to wear.
Right now my fave red shoes are my high-top red Converse. They add bounce to my day. It's good to have bounce in one's day. :)

I love those! I used to have a pair of red clogs, but got rid of them because I thought they were kind of Chicos-mom-ish. My favorite shoes (besides my leopard print Sperry Topsiders)red high heels from Naturalizer. Red patent leather and amazingly comfortable, even for me who lives in Merrells half the year. Thanks for the cool postcard!

I so love those shoes! I love plaid, and I love red. Unfortunately I do not have a pair of red shoes. I'm always drawn to the red ones whenever I get to go shoe shopping, however I usually have to stick with the practical choice :(
Your husband is not the only husband who doesn't get it. But no fear, 95% of the women do get it and wherever you wear those shoes, women will notice and love them!

those are cute shoes, not that I would wear them though, I am not a big shoe person!
Maybe I should?

I don't think I have any red shoes! What is wrong with me?! This situation will have to be remedied immediately.

As a kid, I thought if you had red shoes, then you had to have every color shoe under the rainbow.

I must find red shoes. Yours are certainly quite delightful. Your postcard arrived yesterday and I so enjoyed the "farm" scene. I love the midwest and seeing that photo certainly made me want to pack a suitcase and head that way. I do believe I will wait for warmer weather. :)

Ever since I was a kid I have loved red shoes. I always have at least 1 pair in my closet, now I have three, with one being a pair of cowboy boots. Your feet can only be happy in red shoes.

I love red and plaid, but I think I am not crazy about wearing those, although if they were slippers I would!:)

No red shoes, but I have a red purse; a red purse is a necessity of life.
