It's that time again.

Photobucket

Yes, it's that time again. It's time to sweep out the kitchen.

I want to thank everyone for visiting! Without you, I'd be talking to myself.

I've got little odds and ends to deal with and the first order of business is to give away that Martha Stewart book, "The Martha Rules". Watch me pull a rabbit name out of a hat. I don't need a number generator like Pioneer Woman who had over 10,000 comments in her drawing for a Zune. I prefer the old school method. And the winner is..........

Allie!!! Congratulations. Be sure to e-mail me with your address and I'll get it in the mail.

For those of you who aren't familiar with Allie, she publishes AllieHoops, a great little blog. For only five bucks, less than the cost of a Grande' Caramel Macchiato, Allie will produce a font from your own handwriting. It's SO COOL. Allie, I'm working like a slave on my worksheet and I'll be ordering my font soon.

WalMart is up to their evil nonsense again. Yesterday I stopped to buy some toothpaste and this is what they have determined is appropriate merchandise to place on the end cap of the checkout lane.

Evil. It's also possessed because the package hopped off the shelf and into my cart. The cashier scanned it and placed it in the bag before I realized what had happened. I didn't discover the evil Strawberry Milkshake Limited Edition Oreos until I got home. What could I do? The cost of gas to take them back to the store was prohibitive. So I opened them and did a taste test.

If you love a strawberry milkshake, you're gonna love these cookies. They do seem to be a little bit sweeter than the regular oreo so you'll probably not be able to eat as many. I don't drink milk so I didn't do a dunk test, that's up to you.

The Farmer's Son weighed in on these cookies. Two thumbs up!

I think Blogger is making things up about us. They have me listed as being in the accounting industry. HA HA HA HA HA. Never in a thousand years would anyone ask me to even add a column of four numbers. I don't even remember being asked what my industry was when I signed up. So for all my readers, I am NOT in accounting! I am into building a stinking publishing empire!!

I've got some surprises coming up in the next week or so, stay tuned.

At the risk of attracting even more odd searches I'm going to list a few of the search terms people used to land at my blog. I'm going to insert odd letters in order to thwart their efforts.

- Someone in Malta searched using the term "wild, hot wom*n at home". Not here buddy, move along.

- There must be a new reality TV show involving finding a farmer a wife, because there's lots of searches for that.

- Also, a lot of people are searching for "dirty grannies". I could be wrong, but I thought those two words were mutually exclusive. EWWWWW!

Paula, who serves as my Grammar Nazi, has tagged me for something called Seven Little Known Things About Yourself. Trust me, there are things about me you don't want to know.

Anyway, I think I did this once before but I don't think anyone remembers, even me! Give me a day or two to come up with some real doozies. Again, trust me, there are doozies in my past.

That's it for this edition of Sweeping Out the Kitchen. Be sure to come back tomorrow. Remember, I don't want to be talking to myself.

Congrats to Allie! Nice little prize there.

Does she really have great suggestions, Suzanne? MS that is. Seems I've got a job coach who thinks I need to start my own business. Sigh.

So those cookies just hopped in the cart with the nice looking lady who was oogling them, eh? I haven't seen them yet and hope not to for a few more pounds. They look way too good. Wouldn't they make a wonderful oreo cookie crust for a strawberry pie? Hmmmm...

Love the post Suzanne, but how could you post those "Strawberry Oreos" on the very first day of my summer diet. Well...strawberries are in the list of ingredients so maybe they would be alright.

I will link over to alliehoopes - as I would love to have a font in my own handwriting!!

Have a great weekend!!

Hello and thanks for visiting my blog. I'm going to have the photo of strawberry oreos from my daughters, I wonder if you can get them over here yet - they're both addicted to Oreos. I'm glad to see I'm not the only "accountant" around here, blogger does like to choose our professions!

Thank you for the invite to Mexico, anywhere with you would be an adventure!I work in what I refer to as Little Tijuana and I have indeed been to Mexico. It is beautiful and disgusting at the same time. The resort areas are stunning and clean. The rest is dirty and poverty ridden, kind of like my school. Are you building a 2nd home on your property?

Found my way to your blog from the Little Red House blog, and boy am I glad I did! You write so well and I am laughing so hard. I'll be back! Added you as a link on my blog. Hmmm, those cookies do look evil. I think they are doing a mind trick on me making me want to go to the store to buy them!

Hello from Canada! I am smitten with your writing. You've got it girl. Some do, some don't. You do. Oh yes you do.

Allie - Congratulations! I'm sending you an e-mail and then I'm going to smack Blogger around a little bit and see if they can not only change my occupation from accounting to "publishing empress" AND also include my e-mail address. I'm blaming them.

Vee - Yes, she does. When it came to the prison inmate who were looking to start a business she warned them that for example, their ideas were a bit too ambitious, thus setting themselves up for failure. Oh, the cookies. I already forgot about them...because THEY'RE GONE!!! Yikes. That's not good.

Sabina - Yes, strawberries are certainly OK on a summer diet. They're just wrapped in cookies, that's all. I'm still working on my Allie worksheet. I'm very excited about getting my own font. Although, since I'm a calligrapher I fuss about everything being perfect. My everyday handwriting is totally unreadable. Totally.

Kim - Let's get together and work on some spreadsheets, OK? Doesn't that sound like fun? GACK. {I can't say that too loud around here because the Farmer has two degrees - accounting and finance. No, he has three degrees, but we won't talk about that.

Red Shoes - Yes, the tourist areas are wonderful. When we travel to Playa del Carmen I always pack lightly for myself. Heck, who needs more than a bathing suit and a little black dress? The other half of the suitcase is filled with school supplies, pencils, crayons, etc. for the indigenous Indian tribes that live in the countryside. We hand the supplies over to either the concierge or another staff member who then gets them where they're needed. We also tip the maids very well. They work hard and are so thankful for the tips.

Bonnie Lane - Thanks for the compliment. My family was getting really tired of listening to my "schtick" so I had to find another audience. You'll do just fine. Thanks for linking to my blog, I appreciate it. The cookies are evil. Just don't look at them because they have mind control powers. Trust me.

Liberty Post - Back at ya. I read you every day. Religiously. You are the bomb!!! Sorry, I lapsed into trying to be way cool. My kids would be mortified.

Thanks everyone for visiting with me today. I appreciate it. Honestly, you guys make it so much fun.

Why don't cha' wanna be talkin' to yourself? I'm sure you'd be an amusing conversationalist! LOL

It is sad how careful one must be about using certain words. In my list of 7 unusual things, I originally put what green M&M's are purported to do, but my better judgment decided to not spell it out. No need to attract those type of searches.
