We're Not in Kansas Anymore Toto!

What this? Have we been transported? Did a twister whisk us away to another time and another place?

No....it's At Home With the Farmer's Wife, Version 2.0.

I'd like to thank Shannon at Eightcrazy Design for creating this new look for my cyber home. She's very creative, patient and a dream to work with. She's got lots of great ideas but listens to her customer also. You can see her wonderful work all over the place, including Taffy Talk,, Mindless Junque, The Romero Diaries, One Day at a Time, and the newest fab site, The Secret is in the Sauce. Be sure to get over to the Sauce site as those ladies are having a great giveaway.

I decided to treat myself to a professionally created blog design. I simply do not have the time to cobble together blog headers. I think of this new design as a Blog Frock. I hope you like it.

Now about some element of the design. See up at the top? Shannon hired an illustrator to create that drawing of me. Really...that's me. I'm a natural blonde. And look at that creamy skin. Where do you think I got that from? It's from daily milk baths. I milk the stinking cows myself every morning for our kitchen use, and in the evening I milk again....just for bathing purposes. Those perfectly straight white teeth come from eating lots of fresh vegetables that I grow in my own garden and again...the milk. My arms are toned and kissed by the sun. That's because I work hard hoeing all the weeds out of that vegetable garden.

On the sidebar you'll see there's something called "Looking Back", those are my archives. The photo used for "Looking Back" is my paternal grandmother and her brother. She died when my father was a young boy and I never knew her. She was so sweet looking.

Look again at the sidebar and you'll see a list of my "Peeps". Those are the people that help grease the wheels and make life a little easier.

Don't pay any attention to The Man Behind the Curtain, the woman in the sidebar. That's just the lady who scrubs my toilets. Yes! I have a cleaning lady.

I once had someone at a cocktail party ask me, "How many days a week does your 'lady' come in?"

To which I answered, "My lady? She's there every day. She's a live-in." Ha, yeah!

Welcome, one and all to At Home with the Farmer's Wife, Version 2.0.

Just remember:
Nobody gets in to see the Wizard.
Not nobody.
Not no how.

This Canadian blogging pal says: Version 2.0 is 10.0 - see...see me waving the paddle that says '10'. Just like Dancing with the Stars. You get a '10'. All kidding aside I think it is smashing, dashing and downright farmafied!

The new look is great! I had no idea that you were such a lovely natural blonde. I'm not sure if I can quite bend my head around that one, but I'm sure that I'll come 'round. 'D

I have live-in help, too, but she is not getting the job done! LOL Love your new header, and you just get younger looking everyday! How do you do it?

I love your new blog look. Very, very cute, but tell the truth Suzanne... You know darn well that's me, during my "blond stage" ;)

OH, it's so delicious!! I LOVE IT, Suzanne. The colors and the portrait of you at the top (yes, of course...I could tell that was you right away) and the vintage postcards. That Shannon is a keeper.

I have a live in maid too. She's sitting in my chair and typing on my computer right now and when I look in the mirror, I see her looking back at me! lol I love the way you described your new look...a new web frock. Looks great! Such fun reading!
