Deja Vu Monday

I should have arrived back from vacation yesterday. You will understand that instead of creating new and thrilling content for my blog, i am probably doing laundry.

This is a reminder of how resourceful a mom can be.

I hope that you'll pop in to at least tell us that you're home safe and sound.

Don't let Laundry Mountain take over your entire life now!

Hope you had a great time. Need to go check my mail. As of a couple of days ago there was nothing.

MacGyver post: HILARIOUS! And so true, really.

For me? I need MORE pony tail holders because having 2 girls that never remember them is a problem. And perfume is a must. Kind of like the lipstick. You sometimes need to SMELL good as well as LOOK good! (Someday I'll do a post on that.)

I've been terrible about getting to your deja vu posts. Darn it! I am glad you are home and can't wait to hear about your trip.

Welcome back !! :-)

Love the McGyver post. Just peaked in my handbag...

It has the usual suspects like cellphone, Mp3 player, wallet, lipstick, lip balm, moisturiser, gum, tissues, wipes, pen, assorted receipts, sunscreen, pepper spray and....

*Small sewing kit which includes a tape measure (essential item ever since I broke a bra strap at a fancy do and had to use a bobby pin to hold it together.)

*Pony tail holders. (there seems to be always people needing those, plus they have other uses as well, like holding together your panties when the elastic snaps)

*Bobby pins (multitude uses for those, including a tempory repair for a broken bra strap)

*A penknife with all those handy gadgets on it. (useful for unlocking the bathroom door, at school, when one of the kids has locked both doors after leaving and you have a kindy kid doing the urgent potty dance)

*A shoe lace ( Ummmm, not sure what that's doing in there, but I'm sure there will be a use for it)

*3 smallish rocks/pebbles (one never knows when one might have to wake someone up by throwing pebbles at their window!! Actually, Taylor collects interesting rocks hat she sees, so I suspect that is where they came from)

*A small packet of vegemite from a restaraunt in Australia (handy for when one has the urge to make a vegemite sandwich when out and about. One of the teachers, who's daughter is in Aussie, gave that to me.)

*Assorted plastic bags (useful for all sorts of things)
