Quick update......
We arrived at our secret vacation location, just in time for Ike to roll over us. We've been in a condo without electricity since Saturday. It's like camping. The stores nearby are still closed, as is the SONIC!!! This isn't fair. I've been looking forward to Limeade and a mini 99 cent banana split. Maybe tomorrow things will be returning to normal.
More later.

I had a feeling you were headed that way!Sorry.
when you get back there is now a sonic in the area on Kirk just north of butterfield Kirk. I can finaly stop yelling at the tv for taunting me with the sonic commecials when there wasn't one in the area
I am so sorry to hear about your vacation. I hope it clears up soon for you. The mini banana split sounds great. Have a great week.

Ohhhh, I do hope so! Hope that the week can be redeemed starting now.
You'll get a kick out of this one. Our local ice cream shoppe closed for the season last night at 8 pm. We decided that we'd have ourselves banana splits as our last hurrah. Right. No bananas, no syrup, no whipped cream, no cherries. They were just wiped out of all the ingredients. We did get some ice cream at least.
Oh, I'm so sorry!
Glad you are o.k. Write soon.
Ok. I know I explained how there's a hurricane everytime I go to St. George/Cape San Blas, but you win for longest power outage on vacation!
Hope the power's back on soon!
I'm glad you're making an adventure out of your misfortune, but I hope it's better SOON!
I got my electricity back - if you need a place to take a hot shower, call me! blessings, marlene
Oh my. Hope it returns to normal soon. Are there restaruants open that you can at least eat?
We got the remnants of Ike too. You got 11 ish inches of rain at home. Most of the roads around here are closed. Anderson, Keslinger, Pouley.
Of course we drive on auto pilot and get to the barricades without thinking...........LOL
Hope the vacation luck turns quickly.

I am so so sorry, but I won't worry about you, your tough.
Just make sure the postcards don't get wet, I'd hate for the ink to run :(
We had a little bit o'
Texas in Northern Ohio ~ high winds and two days without power.
Hope "camping" turns into "vacation" for you real soon!
Of all the bloggers I know though, You will be able to make limeade from the limes tossed your way. ;)
I was thinking about you when Ike hit. Hope everything is better now, and that you did not get some Ike flooding at home, either.
xoxo,
Mary
