I Forgot About Zoltar
I had completely forgotten about this photograph I'd taken while we were in Hot Springs, Arkansas. It's Zoltar. He lights up, he moves, he speaks and dispenses a fortune. At least I think he does. The Farmer was walking and was in no mood for electronic fortune tellers which means I didn't get the chance to cross his palm with silver.
I thought it would be cool to have a Zoltar in the house, that way I could consult with him every morning and avoid making any false moves. Imagine my surprise when I discovered that you can indeed purchase a Zoltar. He's got his own website and it appears that the Hot Springs version is the economy model.
I know one thing for sure, if I was consulting Zoltar today he'd say,
"She who helps Farmer mix and shovel ten 80 lb. bags of cement will regret it in the morning.
That Zoltar is one smart dude.

darn for $5,000 plus I could tell you that mixing cement with the farmer will make you live to hurt.
Heck I could tell you that for free. Take care of yourself. I took the purse down to my daughters this weekend and she is delighted. Thanks again.
Mary
HEY!! He was in the movie BIG with Tom Hanks remember? Maybe you didnt see the movie! How cool, I thought it was somthing they made just for that movie. YOu can call me Zoltar if you want and consult me in the morning for a flat fee!!! LOL
I don't think Zoltar could live at my house! I am completely creeped out by mechanical figures. I even had to leave the robot Abe Lincoln show at Disneyland!
Probably some deep psychological issue there, eh?
Hope you feel better soon!
Chris
Hahahaha, Mary! Me, too.
Okay, so what are you mixing all that cement for?
Mary - Yeah, it knew it would too but the Farmer wouldn't take no for an answer. I'm glad your daughter like the purse.
Heidi - BIG is one of my favorite movies, ever. That's why I got so excited when I saw Zoltar standing out on the street.
Chris - I don't know about psychological issues, everybody need something to be creeped out about. I'm creeped out by bridges over water.
Vee- The Farmer has literally had it with power outages. The concrete pad will be the base for a natural gas powered generator.
Having been the semi-willing assistant to concrete mixing projects myself, I feel your pain.
I have found that Naproxen is something of a miracle drug at times like these.
Hope the soreness goes away soon.

Oh my aching back. I also unwillingly get involved in projects like that. I told Ole next time he gets married he better find an amazon!!
Aleve and maybe one of those Theracare disposable heat wraps might help. Hope your back feels better soon. I've seen Zoltar in Seattle and in England. He must be very popular.
Can you imagine having the cash to buy a Zoltar for your kitchen! This is a scream. Hope you're not too stiff after doing all that cement.
Oh that just reminded me of the movie Big... and I see that someone else said that too!
That's a heck of a lot of cement... wowsers! Have fun there!
amazing...Tom Hanks and Big! But then you probably knew that. Wow...mixing cement? That is a BIG job! Yep...these muscles would be in shear agony!
OMG I haven't seen one of those in years. Did you talk to hime? I mean about other stuff than the manual labor? You silly woman, you'll have arms like Arnold.
This is TOO fun. I cant believe that.
I saw Zoltar in the movie Big, but I didn't know it was a real. Wow!
