Deja Vu all over again

This flu is truly horrible. Everything hurts. My bones hurt. Don't let them tell you that your hair is dead protein.

I know better because my HAIR HURTS! Beware if you even think about the possibility of getting a haircut while suffering from the flu. You'll be sorry.

Yesterday I ensconsed myself in bed, diving under the Laura Ashley faux down comforter and breathing heavily in an attempt to ward off a rattling chill. There I hid under the covers attempting to read Barbara Kingsolver's, Poisonwood Bible. My eyes couldn't quite focus and after a short while I found myself getting dizzy, either from the reading attempts or the steamy buildup of my own carbon dioxide.

Throwing the covers back and gasping for air I was greeted by the vision of our Sahara Sand luggage, unpacked but still waiting to be stored away for the next adventure. But first I must scrub the heck of it.

I thought in the absence of anything interesting to read you might like to read the tale of the luggage from my archive.

AN OPTIMIST WITH SAHARA SAND LUGGAGE

My hair hurts when I have the flu. I hate it!

When you mentioned the luggage, I wondered if there was going to be a story of black marks.

When I went to Florida in January, I stayed with a friend part of the time. She has 2 girls older than my two and was in a January decluttering mode and wanting to give me all. kinds. of. stuff. I tried to decline, but she wouldn't accept that. I said I had no place to put it. She had a piece of luggage she wanted to rid herself of as well. I had no more arguments. It was a beautiful bright pink with bright green polka dots and a green ribbon to match. Very girly. I thought of your Sahara Sand luggage when I picked my pink bag up from baggage claim. It was COVERED in black streaks. WHO. KNEW. our luggage is THAT dirty??

Awwwww, this is terrible. Hope that someone will read to you or that you have a cd of a nice book. (I have two, but I am not saving them for flu days. No, I am not!)

Yes, scrub the daylights out of the luggage...bedbugs or germs or both? I'd be using the Lysol bottle liberally, too.

Take it easy now...

Gosh... sorry you are feeling so bad... we didn't get the flu, ours was more like complete zapping of our energy and HORRIBLE cold like symptoms for 2 weeks straight... I STILL need to keep my box of kleenex close at hand....

Take care for heaven sakes!

Although I'm sorry you're sick, I'm glad to know other people's hair hurts when they have the flu. My husband and kids laugh at that. They think it sounds so silly. Lucky them if they don't have that symptom! It is the worst feeling to be bone tired and have every hair on your head hurt!

So sorry you are, well, under the covers. We get flu shots every year, this is due to the fact that we had the flu 3 years in a row. And yes, my hair and fingernails hurt.
Get well soon.

It's true. Not only does hair hurt..your teeth hurt and just about everything else. I had it from Christmas until the end of January. Not fun.

That is a TERRIBLE book to read when you're feeling that sick. You're going to start feeling like one of the characters. Try something like PG Wodehouse or even a More magazine, lol.

Drink fluids! Forget the luggage! Hoping you feel better very soon. If I were nearby I'd bring you the rest of the big pot of chicken soup I made yesterday. :(
