Poke Me with a Fork.........

I'm done!

Well, for today anyway.

Late yesterday I went into labor. I suffered much and pushed hard for five hours and look.....

I gave birth to an Etsy Shop.

Farmer's Wife - At Home

I told the Farmer not to bother me as I was very busy in my very own sweatshop. I only had time to list half the aprons.

I'll be listing more every day. If I push a little harder tomorrow I'll probably be able to birth those old-fashioned cotton dishcloths.

Can I ask you a favor? It's the same as last week. Can you tell a friend? That would be a big help to me.

Look over the shop. Leave a comment. I'll be giving away one of those Pink-A-Dot wallets at the Monday Morning Staff Meeting.

The Pink-a-Dot

Phew. I'm bushed. Now I can get back to blogging and such.

That pink and brown apron is delicious!!! They're all adorable, though. I love the style! I can appreciate the work it takes not just to make them but list them too. You're doing great, though.

Oh Suzanne!!! They are so beautiful I'd hate to cook with them for fear of a stain!!!

But I want one anyway!!!! (Or two, or three!!!)

Give me a few days here... (things are tight all over!) :o)

And I'm definitely spreading the word!

Congratulations on your new shop! I just did a little "window" shopping and I so want the "A Serious Romance" apron. They are all beautiful, but that one really speaks to me. I'm going to have to see if I can find some extra money. :-)

Wow! You have been busy! Congratulations and best wishes on your latest venture. Heidi said to drop by and give you a big hug while here, so here it is!

Your new design downloads quicker for me with my dialup. Can't explain it, but like it. Also like the clean, crisp new look. Can never go wrong with black text on a white background. It looks sharp and sophisticated.

You have peonies in bloom already! Here in Saskatchewan we've had a particularly long cold spring and the peony leaves have only just completely opened. It'll be some time yet till the buds are fully grown and the ants decide to remove the waxy covering that keeps them closed.

UH-OH!!! I just snagged a photo of one your aprons and posted it in a mention of your etsy shop...then I read your warning about using photos without permission!!! Please don't send the chihuahuas! - C

Tressa - Yeah, and I ship to Norway! Imagine that.

Susan - Thanks so much for the good wishes. I've been excited to get this up and running. I found that setting a deadline for yourself is a good thing. Otherwise, things just drag on and on.

6Blessings - Oh, I'm so glad that you stopped by. I'm always glad when people stumble in here. We're a friendly bunch.

Ang - There you are! Thanks for the kind words.

Louise - Thanks. I agonized a bit over the format of the photography. You'd laugh of you saw the photo studio!

Lyda - Thanks. The pattern to make the apron from a man's shirt is free and is offered by Mary Jane Butters on her site. I did a tutorial on how to make one. If you click at the top menu bar on "Sewing", it will take you to all my sewing tutorials. Or on the far upper left hand corner there's an empty box for searching the blog. Enter the word apron and it will bring it up.

Heather - Seriously. I can see your sassy self in that pink and brown number. Love the recently updated sassy style, by the way.

Chocolatechic - Yeah, I know.

Lisa - thanks for spreading the word. It's called "Word of Mom" instead of word of mouth. HA.

Nan - Thanks so much for the good wishes.

Jenni - Little clicky button? I'll try but you must understand I'm old (well, older_) and technologically challenged.

Mary - I love flowers. The bigger the better.

Jill - Thanks so much. BTW, I'll be thinking of you as you travel to the other side of the world with a newborn. You are so brave woman.

Heidi - Thanks so much. You are a true and good friend. I'll be contacting you today.... I hope.

Laura - I know the feeling when something talks to you. This happens quite often to me.

bv - thanks so much. I'm going to give it a try. I've looked for jobs around here but it's slim pickings, so I'm going to try and be my own boss.

Karen - I'm hoping for that mannequin body also!!!! I'm getting together with my friend (a fashion school grad and pattern designer) and she's going to help me create a pattern with a little more room!

Kelly - Let us know when the birthday celebration starts!

Red shoes - You know, it's like the stupid doctor told me..... "By the time we get the needle in you'll be having that baby." Yeah, and I got a bridge I'd like to sell you.

1 in College - Thanks, I love playing with fabric. It's fun, hardly work. The only part I find to be work is when I have a special order. For some reason they seem to hang over my head.

LDF - Heidi sent you here? Oh, please sit for a while. We can talk and have some iced tea.

Kate - I've heard that many times. I don't know why it would load faster, maybe less background pattern. I'm glad though, because I hate slow loading blogs. I'm very impatient.

Vickie - I've always loved a pink/brown combination. Also pink and lime green. OK, now I seriously want to go play with some fabric.

Amber - Hey girlfriend. Make up your mind. HA.

Steph - Yes, the Farm Fresh is cute. I'm still thinking about a John Deere apron. I'm sure you'd agree that would be a hit. I LOVE MY COTTON FARMERS. My family used to be cotton farmers ..... and cotton pickers because it was back in the day when they dragged those long bags behind them. Ancient history, I know.

Mogsie - Juju.... THAT'S what I'm talking about.

Stickhorse - Thanks for spreading the word. It's all good.... don't worry about the photo thing. I just posted that because someone said I should. Maybe I should think for myself. HA. Anyway, the chihuahuas are lazy slugs. They're all bark.

Thanks everyone for your kind comments and encouragement. It recharges my batteries to get up and do it all again.

I LOVE aprons. My grandma always wore one and I do to-mainly because I'm a sloppy cook and seem to wear my work!
