Summertime Fun

The Farmer and I will be attending a family picnic today and hopefully the weather will cooperate. I don't think there's a plan B in case it rains.

I hope you have something fun planned for today also.

Be sure to be on time for the Monday Morning Staff Meeting. I'll be announcing the winner of the vintage cookbook.

Here's a recipe from that book, just for you. The famous ......

TATER TOT CASSEROLE

1 lb. hamburger
1/4 cup chopped onion
1 bag Tater Tots
1 can Cream of Mushroom Soup
1 cup milk

Brown hamburger and onion, drain. Put in casserole dish and top with Tater Tots. Take Cream of Mushroom soup and mix with milk, pour over the top. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour, 15 minutes, or until Tater Tots are golden brown.

NOTE: In the version that I make, I butter the casserole dish and put a layer of Tater Tots on the bottom, hamburger mix in the middle and more Tater Tots on top. You can top with some cheese for the last 10 minutes of bake time.
