The Newest Enterpreneurs

Photobucket

Good morning from the heartland. I hope all is well in your little corner of the world. The fall harvest is set to go into high gear.

Do you remember when I asked you to leave a comment, with the promise that for each and every comment I would donate $1 to the Trickle Up Foundation? Well, you responded and at final count there were 81 comments.
Photobucket

I have received the Found Money from the magazine that published my photographs and since the small business loans are traditionally in increments of $50, a donation will be sent in the amount of $100. There will be two new enterpreneurs in the world thanks to you. I have decided to declare that you, my readers, are officially my Hen House Full O'Chicks!

Doesn't that feel good? Do you find it true that it's better to give than to receive? I encourage you to look for ways to make a difference in your community or the larger global community.

It's absolutely better to give than receive, but we need to learn how to do both graciously.

You're a good woman, Suzanne, and it must be a great feeling to know that you have made such a difference for these new business ventures.

Heidi - Oh no, that's not the Farmer...my Farmer. That's a guy who farms the land that is soon to be turned into a mega-housing subdivision. Fortunately the current real estate and mortgage situation mean that it will be delayed for awhile. My Farmer is the general manager of a fresh organic herb operation. Much smaller equipment!!

Farmchick - I like this group because something like 85% of the money goes to the people it's meant to help.

Chocolatechic - I agree....WOO HOO!!! All my readers done good.

Vee - My readers....my readers made the difference by climbing into the Hen House!!

Rhonda - Yes! I need more Chicks. The more chicks the better.

Hi suzanne!
:( I missed leaving a comment on the post for you, but I feel better that the same amount would have been donated even if I had. What a fantastic cause! :) Women need all the help they can get today! LOVE the tractor, unfortunately my hubby owns an orange. One of those.
xoxo~

Great idea! Last year at work instead of everyone handing each other a Christmas card we gave the money we would have spent to Oxfam and paid for 40 hours of reading lessons in the developing world and some teaching materials.I did suggest that we each made one card to put up in the staffroom but everyone was too worn out to do this.
